Data Select, the distributor owned by Peter Jones’ Phones International organisation, has appointed Angus Dawe as MD.
Dawe was formerly associated with Unique Distribution, and was one of the founders of that company. When Unique was bought out of receivership by John McFarnon early last year, Dawe stayed on as working director. He finally left Unique six months ago.
Data Select is widely regarded as successful, but as one insider told us: “There’s a feeling that it is not realising its true potential. Maybe Angus Dawe has some ideas about that”.
