Microsoft has unveiled a new Windows Mobile technology called Deepfish which aims to offer mobile users “quick and convenient web browsing that more closely resembles the experience of browsing the web on desktop computers”. The previews we’ve seen use a zoom-in zoom-out approach that retains the shape of the page but allows users to home in on what interests them. The developers say Deepfish is currently “a prototype technology”, and there are no specific plans for making the product more widely available.
