The days of getting threatening notes made from cut out letters from newspapers  looks to be at an end, at least in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as human rights workers get death threats by text.

Amnesty International reported that several members of Journaliste en Danger (JED) a human rights organisation have received threatening text messages stating they would 'disappear one by one' unless the JED ceased its activities within 10 days.

Although an internationally backed peace process has now been established human rights continue to be violated by local and military authorities as they fight for control of territories.

JED report  these violations the various authorities try to stop them by threatening them via phone, text, and email.
