LG’s Viewty gets all Network Support

Networks & Network Services
The Press acclaimed Viewty is to be supplied by all networks leading up to the Christmas rush, after which Gary Venn, Head of Marketing will take his standing ovation.

The LG Viewty which some have called the iPhone killer (not that they need any help as Apple seem to be killing them themselves) has been accepted by all networks to be stocked prior to the xmas rush.

Seemingly strange behaviour from O2; you get the ‘coveted’ iPhone deal by giving away 40% of your subscription turnover then stock the product which the press calls the ‘iPhone killer’ – not so much hedging your bets as backing the winner – whichever it may be.

Mobile Business Magazine has been given the opportunity to test one of these Viewtiful handsets, and although LG are not pitching it into the iPhone space, a mere smile and a suggested focus on multimedia, superb photography and a whopping 120 frames per second video capture (TV works at 25-30 fps) you can understand that with the iPhone pricing structure, the success of recent LG fashion phones and all network support, that LG have something to smile about.

Interestingly enough, Gary Venn, Head of Marketing has taken this opportunity to bid farewell to LG and move into the retail sector.

Expected to leave at the end of the year, it seems Venn knows he has created a winning formula which has increased his market value.

Retiring from the industry at the top of his game, Venn played the corporate card by giving little away as to his next move whilst John Barton, Sales Director at LG said of Venn:

"After nearly two years with LG Mobile, Gary is [to] move back to retail… he has played a big part in our success."

Mobile Business Magazine wishes Gary all the best and looks forward to the upcoming battle of the handsets.

We have a Viewty in the office, can’t see an iBrick anywhere though :hint:

Give your best wishes to Gary and/or opinion on which vendor will win the ‘battle of the handsets’ below -
