NavTrak leaves the field clear for Navtrak

It looks as though the confusion Navtrak and NavTrak might be resolved soon. The UK-based supplier of stolen vehicle tracking systems, NavTrak Limited, has been sold by its parent company ITIS to Cobra Automotive Technologies.
Cobra is an Italian outfit which among other things is the exclusive telematics provider for Porsche. ITIS says it can focus entirely on its core traffic information business and the proceeds -- £2.2m now, plus up to £1.4m depending on performance -- will provide “additional cash resources which can be utilised within the Group”.

The helpful upshot is that the NavTrak name might now disappear, leaving the field to Navtrak Inc. The Maryland-based company claims to the industry leader in GPS tracking and fleet management for US businesses and boasts over 1,700 customers.
