New insurance products look for resellers

Mobile phone insurer fonesure has come up with an interesting new product for consumers – fonesave provides a wireless content back up service, and it can be combined with an existing fonesure policy under the name fonesecure.
“With a captive audience and easy to sell products,” says fonesure, “resellers will benefit from an additional robust income stream”.

Fonesave works on over 500 mobile phones and backs up data from the handset – contacts, calendar, pictures, video clips, ringtones – using GPRS or 3G.

Customers access their account via the web portal using their mobile phone number and a password. From that they can update, edit or transfer their personal data to an alternative handset from anywhere in the world.

As a standalone product fonesave is £2.99 a month; fonesecure starts at £5.99 per month. There’s no minimum contract and signing up is a simple two-minute process.

For resellers, fonesecure is easy to sell with customer incentives such as three months’ free cover.

Commissions are pretty good too, from £2.40 per policy per month.

Several distributors have fonesure, or you can check it out at www.fonesure.com.
