Wired Broadcast is a private company and a specialist in providing connectivity for radio and TV outside broadcasts for more than 25 years. We are the sole UK & Ireland distributor for Viprinet Europe GmbH, a manufacturer of multi‐channel VPN bonding routers. Our media clients include the BBC, CBS, Sky, Global, Bauer and News International. In the IT sector they include ISPs and managed service providers, utilities, government, military, education, retail, construction, transportation, insurance and security.

We are looking for a personable and enthusiastic Sales and Marketing Manager to grow our Viprinet distribution channel. The successful candidate will receive initial training at Viprinet’s HQ in Bingen Am Rhein, Germany. Duties will involve increasing Viprinet and associated product sales, developing a sales strategy that increases business opportunities, identifying and on‐boarding new sales partners and resellers, working with channel partners to assist them in selling and promoting the company’s products and services, and customer account management. As we are a small company, some multi‐tasking is required of everyone. You will have exposure to all aspects of the business and a great opportunity to gain new skills and experiences.

Viprinet is a fast‐growing manufacturer of multi‐channel VPN routers that bond multiple WAN connections such as DSL, 3G, 4G and satellite. A Viprinet router aggregates bandwidth, and by combining different access media and ISPs, can create enterprise‐grade reliability and security from consumer‐grade public internet connections. Alongside the Viprinet portfolio, Wired Broadcast distributes Mediaport™, a battery‐portable device built on Viprinet technology that is designed and manufactured in‐house. Mediaport delivers fast, reliable public internet ‐ or a secure connection to a corporate LAN ‐ in a grab‐and‐go package; useful especially to broadcasters but also to anyone requiring a secure and reliable network connection from outside their office.

Your Responsibilities

  • Increase Viprinet and associated product sales for Wired Broadcast
  • Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals
  • Develop a sales strategy that increases business opportunities
  • Identify and on‐board new Sales Partners and Resellers
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention
  • Compile and analyse customer feedback
  • Keep up to date with products and competitors
  • Organise, and represent WB / Viprinet at events, exhibitions and fairs
  • Seek out and fulfil opportunities for advertising and editorial
  • Participate in partner presentations and events
  • Present to interest groups and other communities

Your Profile

  • A background in selling networking products such as WAN optimization, WAN routing or Application Performance Management solutions
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with expertise in one or more of the following verticals: retail, government, law enforcement, defense, broadcasting, transportation or ISPs
  • Proven track record of recruiting new channel partners and managing their expectations
  • Motivated by the thrill of seeking and acquiring new business
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to explain complex technology to a variety of audiences
  • A customer‐focused approach
  • Motivated, self‐disciplined, able to work on own initiative, meeting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • An inquisitive mind and a willingness to self‐educate
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • UK drivers license with max 6 penalty points
  • Degree qualification preferred
