Abbey Telecom Grows with New Appointments

A Lancashire telecoms firm has bolstered its team with the recruitment of two new members of staff as it continues to grow and diversify its business.

North West installer Abbey Telecom has extended its team with the addition of Aleisha Lasiewicz and Oliver Leighton-Reardon.

The decision to strengthen its existing workforce comes as a direct result of the increasing popularity of the firm’s lines and minutes packages which were introduced last year.

Abbey Telecom managing director Tony Raynor said: “We’ve had great feedback from customers about adding lines and minutes to our traditional maintenance and installation services. More work has come in and we’ve recognised the need to boost our sales support resources accordingly.

“Aleisha has joined us through the modern apprenticeship scheme and Oliver was recommended to us, having worked in similar sales led environments. We have high hopes that both will go on to forge successful careers for themselves with us. We warmly welcome them aboard.”

Former Blackburn College student of the year Aleisha, 19, studied health and social care and took on an administrative role as part of a work placement with a local hospice. She enjoyed this so much that she decided to pursue similar work by signing up for an apprenticeship.

Oliver, 21, a bustling centre forward for Horwich St Mary’s at weekends, previously worked for Bolton Plastics and as an account executive for Corporate Energy Solutions.

Abbey Telecom installs and maintains telephone systems, working closely with clients ranging from small businesses to plcs. For further information visit www.abbeytele.com/
