Aculab Selected by Avaya

Aculab has announced it has been selected by Avaya for membership as a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program.

Aculab is the developer of the ApplianX IP Gateway, an enterprise ‘plug & play’ gateway, which includes DPNSS-to-QSIG interworking functionality that can help reduce operational costs, extend the life of legacy TDM-based equipment, and enable the delivery of services from IP-based applications and end points. As a DevConnect Technology Partner, Aculab expects to deliver proven interoperability of its solutions with Avaya’s unified communications and contact centre portfolios. That enables companies to integrate next generation VoIP equipment into existing TDM infrastructures, such as IP-based call centres with centralised/distributed agents or extend the functionality of Avaya’s unified communications solutions across enterprises’ private DPNSS and/or QSIG networks.

The Avaya DevConnect program promotes the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party solutions that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. Member organisations have expertise in a broad range of capabilities – spanning collaboration, management, analytics, reporting and communications-enabled business process applications – helping joint customers extend the value of their collaboration and contact centre investments and accelerate the speed at which their organisation delivers true value to the bottom line.

“Membership in Avaya’s developer program will help us build our business by serving customers more efficiently and effectively,” said David Samuel, Global Sales and Marketing Director, Aculab. “Building on Avaya’s resources and working more closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, we are able to solve interconnection problems, improve interoperability and speed time to deployment, so businesses can quickly realise a benefit to their bottom line.”

“Technology Partners like Aculab are helping Avaya to meet the needs of its enterprise customers by providing cost-effective, easy to deploy gateway solutions.” said Eric Rossman, Vice President, Developer Relations, Avaya. “With its universal SIP capability and unique DPNSS-to-QSIG gateway functionality, Aculab’s ApplianX IP Gateway will help ensure our customers can continue leveraging their investment in legacy technology infrastructures whilst being able to gain full advantage from Avaya’s unified communications and contact centre solutions.”
