Alcatel-Lucent has announced a suite of enhancements for its portfolio of products for large enterprises designed to help these businesses generate more revenue while lowering their costs with communications technology that helps employees enhance their productivity while improving customer service.
Alcatel-Lucent’s Corporate Communications offer includes voice, data, unified communications and contact centre solutions whose enhancements enable large business customers to employ data virtualisation, increased scalability and strategic centralisation in the network to better address the challenges of globalisation. Businesses are able to step up the productivity of their employees with always-on unified communication solutions while improving the integration of applications with business processes to attain the dynamic enterprise vision of aligning network, people, process and knowledge for better customer experience.

The vendor says their new OmniPCX Enterprise 9.0 release provides a secure, scalable, centralised architecture capable of serving 100,000 users. The system’s SIP controller and expanded standards-based SIP trunking allows easy, cost-effective adoption of new applications and SIP device management.
The new OmniSwitch 9000E has been designed for deployments requiring high capacity, scalability and virtualisation with multi-virtual routing and forwarding, which delivers cost reductions through hardware consolidation and lower power consumption.
Alcatel-Lucent enhances productivity by equipping employees with the personalised tools and secure mobility capabilities with the Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch Unified Communication Solution Release 5.1 and OmniTouch 8600 My Instant Communicator. These solutions offer multimedia, multi-session collaboration, mobile device integration, and support for third-party applications such as Microsoft Office Communicator.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch Contact Center Premium and Standard Release 9.0 and the latest CC Teamer application help enterprises provide superior customer service. These solutions provide flexibility and cost savings while improving resolution of first-time calls by letting agents quickly access back-office expertise.
Alcatel-Lucent solutions also encourage more effective knowledge sharing internally and with customers, partners and suppliers through open APIs and third-party integration, enabling improved productivity and cost reduction.
