IT and Telecoms solution provider ANS Group has announced that Scott Fletcher, the Group’s Chairman and Founder, received ‘The Credit Suisse North West Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at the National Business Awards, North West and North East Regional Finals.
The National Business Awards, described by the Prime Minister as the ‘Business Oscars’, attracts entries from a wide variety of successful organizations, including National Westminster Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland and Sheffield United Football Club.
Scott’s hard work in propelling ANS Group’s growth, which saw the group’s turnover rise by 59% to approximately £10m in 2007/08, and most recently be awarded Cisco Gold partner status, an accreditation bestowed on only 28 companies in the UK, played a big part in his success at the awards.
Scott will now go on to represent the region as a finalist for the Credit Suisse Entrepreneur of the Year Award in London.
Commenting on his award, Scott Fletcher said: “It is a great honour to go through this rigorous process and come out a winner in a competition that is cross sector with entrants not restricted by age or size of business. The quality of the entrepreneurs and businesses in the final were of an excellent standard and it goes to show what an outstanding award this is to win.”
