Astro’s Founder and CTO, Steve Smith and Managing Director, Steve Hodges were both rewarded for their “success and position” by the ITP, the UK’s independent body for people who work in the telecommunications industry. They are now looking forward to being more involved in the excellent work the ITP do in driving professional standards in the industry and inspiring the next generation of technologists.
The ITP draws together members from across the entire industry – from apprentices through to senior executives and has been the professional voice of telecoms for more than a century. Speaking of the award the ITPs Crissi Williams said, “I am delighted to welcome these two stalwarts of the industry as ITP Honorary Fellows. I am looking forward to sharing their expert knowledge in our ever changing industry.”
Steve Hodges, Managing Director at the Dartford-based IT managed service and Communications Company said, “For one member of the Astro team to be awarded an Honorary Fellowship by an organisation we have a huge respect for was an achievement in itself, but to learn that two of us were being recognised for our success and position was mind-blowing! We look forward to embracing this position and making a positive contribution to the Institute in any way we can”.
