Avaya has announced the appointment of Carlos Sartorius as president EMEA. Sartorius will support the development of Avaya’s overall business in EMEA and lead the organisation to support customers’ migration to IP telephony and the next phases of incorporating Intelligent Communications into their businesses. He will report to Dave Johnson, senior vice president and president, Avaya International. Sartorius’ appointment is effective immediately.
Sartorius joins Avaya after a career in Motorola. Most recently, he was Vice President and General Manager, Government & Enterprise Mobility Solutions, where he led operations for its EMEA region. He has more than 20 years experience in leadership positions in sales, systems engineering, program management and marketing, with emphasis on developing markets and establishing sales strategies.
“Carlos will further strengthen Avaya’s ability to work with customers and partners across the region, helping businesses migrate to IP telephony and bring the value of Intelligent Communications into their daily business operations,” said Johnson. “I am confident that he will move quickly to build upon the progress that Avaya already made in EMEA.”
