Samsung has moved quickly to fill the channel leadership position resulting from the sudden departure of Roger James last Friday with the news that Julian Barnes is to return to the company as General Manager, IP PBX, Network Division. He re-starts on 8 October.
Barnes rejoins the Samsung team after a period as Director of Business Systems at one of their resellers, Link Telecom.
In a statement Samsung said, “Clearly Julian has a wealth of experience in converged communications and channel sales with both resellers and distributors that he gained at Samsung and more recently at developing business strategy within a reseller environment.
The appointment comes at a great time as his ideas and experience can be incorporated in the planning and preparations for 2008. There are several new products to launch next year that will enhance the Samsung proposition.”
