Bistech Develop Toshiba Relationship

Bistech Group plc is the recipient of this year’s Product Development Partner of the Year award from Toshiba’s Business Communications Division (BCD). The award recognises the contribution that key partners such as Bistech make to Toshiba’s product development process, including in-house testing of core software and specific products, and the provision of field trial sites.

Bistech has collaborated with Toshiba in the product development cycle for many years, and is instrumental in ensuring that core Strata CIX software and associated Toshiba products reach the level of reliability and stability that customers have come to expect from Toshiba solutions. Bistech’s expertise in the entire Strata CIX product range, along with its knowledge of both proprietary and open standards has been fundamental in the commercial introduction and release of products such as Strata Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Strata Net Phone, Host Media Processing (HMP) and SIP trunking, led to the first Product Development Partner of the Year award being presented to Bistech last month.

Tim Webb, General Manager at Toshiba BCD said, “We are delighted to present Bistech with this award, recognising the assistance that it has provided to us and our customers in introducing new products to the market. Bistech has always been extremely responsive with in-house installs of new core software and associated products and field trial sites, and are therefore of vital importance to our product development process.”

Richard Holbrook, Technical Director at Bistech Group plc commented, “Bistech has been a top tier partner of Toshiba for many years and, through supporting our own internal Strata CIX as well as looking after Toshiba’s own main UK sites, we’ve always been involved in the testing and development of new products. We are thrilled to receive the Product Development Partner of the Year award from Toshiba, and happy to see our contribution to the product introduction process recognised in such a way.”
