BlackBerry App World now available in 14 countries

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced the availability of BlackBerry App World 1.1. Available to download in five languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish), BlackBerry App World 1.1 is now available to customers in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal and the Channel Islands.

Previously available to customers in the North America, Canada and the UK, BlackBerry App World offers a comprehensive catalogue of free and paid for high value applications.

Users can conveniently access BlackBerry App World over both WiFi and cellular networks to browse for and download applications. Paid applications can easily be purchased using the built in payment process from PayPal. Customers can also review and recommend apps to friends and manage the apps on their device using the My World function.

Additional features in BlackBerry App World 1.1 include: Improved search - Customers can view catalogue by free versus paid application with additional categories for top free and paid app downloads; Sort app search results - Customers can sort their search results by Newest, Highest Rated, Price, Developer, Application Name; Archive apps - Customers can now archive their apps to SD Card or eMMC and reinstall when they want to use it.
