British Cloud computing firm receives global accolade

Cloud computing is one of the biggest trends radically transforming the way companies are operating across all business sectors. Global Cloud services revenue is predicted to reach £46.4 billion in 2010, with an expected rise of 16.6% from last year. Analyst firm Gartner forecasts that the Cloud services market will double by 2014, while in the midst of this exploding market, perhaps unusually, a British company is leading the way.

British-based Cloud computing company Outsourcery has become the leading player in this area following intense competition from over 3,000 entrants worldwide. The company has been awarded Microsoft’s Worldwide Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year award in recognition of its teaming with Microsoft to address customer needs through indentifying new market opportunities and using technology innovation in the delivery of its Cloud computing solutions.

Outsourcery has been widely predicted by experts to become the UK’s market leader because of its rapid investment in Cloud computing services and unified communications, which has delivered dominant market share and also secured pole position as one of the world’s fastest growing Cloud computing companies. Many industry insiders see the award for Outsourcery as evidence of British firms being at the forefront of innovation in bringing new technologies to the marketplace, with companies operating across all sectors implementing Outsourcery solutions which are the most advanced product offerings in Cloud computing available in the UK today.

Winning the Microsoft Hosted Solutions Partner of the Year award gives official recognition of the superior levels of skill, support and expertise that Outsourcery has to offer its partners and means customers and partners can be confident that they are dealing with an internationally recognised organisation of the highest calibre. With increasing numbers of companies looking to Cloud computing and unified communications (UC) to provide a ‘business edge’, resellers are struggling to ‘skill up’ in these technologies and subsequently are missing out on a potentially huge source of revenue. Additionally, others may have the skills but not the infrastructure to be able to handle single billing, support and other essential requirements meaning customers could change suppliers to a reseller who can. To assist with this Outsourcery has made a significant investment in providing support and services to its resellers who can now engage with them in a variety of ways depending on what they can, or prefer to do. Under the banner of ‘InPartnership with Outsourcery’, partners can enjoy a flexible relationship and develop it in a way that suits their own business model improving customer loyalty and their own bottom lines.

Piers Linney, joint CEO said, “We strongly believe that the future is Cloud computing and we will continue to offer innovative software plus service solutions that add value to our partners. Just over a year ago we set out to be recognised as No.1 in the market; now we are proud to have been officially recognised on the global stage as Microsoft’s Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year. We have achieved this through material investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure to provide solutions that enable businesses to reduce costs, become more productive, more efficient and, ultimately, more profitable.”

He continued, “Channel Partners can now have the highest confidence they are now working with Microsoft’s No.1 partner in Hosted Solutions worldwide. Our passion has always been to offer the best hosting solutions in the world and this prestigious accolade from Microsoft underlines our leading position in the marketplace, our credibility for customers and our clear differentiation from our competitors.”

Microsoft believes the award will see Outsourcery’s credibility further strengthened to all prospects and key stakeholders and believes the award sets the company apart from all its competitors.

“Microsoft is pleased to recognise Outsourcery as the Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year for its hosted Unified Communications solution targeting the small and medium business market,” said Austen Mulinder, corporate vice president, Communications Sector, Microsoft Corp. “Outsourcery’s hosted Unified Communications solution combines Microsoft products such as Exchange Server 2007, SharePoint 2007, and Office Communication Server 2007, with voice and presence, to help businesses communicate more effectively. Businesses can stay connected with their mobile workforce at all times in real-time through instant messaging, phone, and web conferencing, offered through predictable subscription-based pricing.”
