Broadband Resellers Show Appetite For High-Fibre Diet

Eclipse Internet has announced more changes to its reseller offering

These changes follow their success in the last six months on the back of an aggressive partner pricing system delivering market-leading margins, value-added technical support in the shape of unique monitoring tool Sentinel, and new products focussed on capitalising on the SME demand for superfast fibre (FTTC) broadband. The ISP is now launching an online ordering system to speed up and simplify DSL broadband provisioning, and removing the installation cost of £40 on Business FTTC 12 month contracts.

“We are really committed to making sure we continue offering better value and better support to resellers than any other ISP in the UK,” said Henry West, Head of Channel Sales at Eclipse Internet. “Certainly fibre-based broadband is a very hot opportunity among resellers right now, but they can also quench demand in those places where FTTC rollouts haven’t happened yet or aren’t even planned. In fact, we are getting great feedback about Bonded DSL – a product that aggregates multiple DSL connections to create a FTTC-like broadband experience –- filling the gap between standard broadband and a higher end alternative such as a Leased Line. There is a lot of pent-up demand out in the country, and resellers should be ready to meet it.”

As well as a series of staged improvements to its partner portal and other reseller resources, Eclipse has continued to demonstrate its technical superiority in fault-avoidance and average broadband speed. Currently, on average, Eclipse reports 18% less faults than any other BT Wholesale partner. In addition, it has consistently been the 2nd fastest broadband provider in the UK, second only to Virgin Media (according to broadband.co.uk), practically doubling its average speed in the last 12 months.
