BT is seeing huge demand for Wi-Fi in the leisure and hospitality sector. Customers can also connect 400,000 residential and commercial hotspots in the UK and Ireland including BAA airports, BA lounges, Caffè Nero, Hilton, Thistle and Ramada Jarvis hotels and Starbucks coffee stores.
BT Openzone access costs as little as ½p per minute. Despite the lowering of EU mobile roaming rates, Wi-Fi from BT Openzone is still cheaper. Using the BT international Wi-Fi voucher, users can surf for as little as 12p per megabyte.
