Centric Telecom Launches Business Applications

Centric Telecom has launched of a suite of business applications as a hosted service offering, complementing their existing VoIP service. The solution combines the functionality of a traditional private PBX with additional value-added services provided from TeleWare, enabling applications such as call recording, personal numbering and team working to be delivered over the Centric Telecom IP access network from the TeleWare hosted service platforms in London.

The company decided to work with TeleWare because of their strong pedigree in the telephony arena, proven through the many blue-chip companies that use TeleWare platforms for their communications. The combination of experience, feature-rich services, flexibility and professionalism assured Centric that it is working with a market leader in providing hosted solutions to its own customer base.

Centric Telecom combines broadband networks with intelligent services to enable businesses to collaborate, scale and increase profit. By connecting businesses directly to a high-speed network and providing all the bandwidth needed to work effectively with customers, suppliers and employees, businesses of any size can take advantage of hosted, network-based IP telephony without the need for on-site equipment and with added flexibility, since all features can be accessed via the office telephone, at home or via mobile.

The company is targeting businesses directly and through resellers with LAN and IP expertise who are expanding their portfolios to include VoIP and who are focused on the enterprise market. The applications provided by this IP Centrex service allows resellers to secure additional market share and to generate new revenue streams from recurring monthly rentals and voice minutes. Hosted IP Voice applications complement the existing portfolio and offers differentiation at a time when the traditional TDM voice market is reaching saturation and is subject to intense price pressure.

“Hosted telephony services are an important addition to Centric’s complete communications portfolio,” said Tim Walker, Sales Director for Centric. “By adding such flexible and feature-rich services to our offering, customers can benefit from Enterprise-class telephony solutions, with low start-up costs and flexible monthly licence charging,” added Walker.

“This solution frees capex and enables businesses to grow at a predictable ongoing cost, without having to worry about upgrading or replacing their PBX,” said Steve Haworth, Group Strategy Director for TeleWare. “Outsourcing the management of hardware reduces the demands on busy IT and telecoms staff, while the customer enjoys carrier grade resilience without the need to make resilient design decisions. With the advent of services that are feature-rich and flexible enough to handle future requirements, IP Centrex hosted services for business have finally arrived,” added Haworth.
