Changes to Personnel at Openreach

There have been a number of senior-level changes within Openreach as part of an internal re-organisation. These Executive level changes will happen on 5th January 2009.

Anne Heal becomes MD of Strategy, and will create a strategic centre of expertise, enabling Openreach to make informed choices about the future direction of the business.

Amy Chalfen will become MD Commercial, Portfolio and Policy, combining the products, marketing and commercial functions with regulatory and public affairs, PR and customer communications.

Tim Barclay will move into a new role as MD Sales and Customer Experience with responsibility for a new sales and end to end customer experience function in order to bring critical customer interfaces together into a single unit.

John Small will become MD Service Delivery bringing together all aspects of Openreach’s service and operational delivery capabilities, and building on the high levels of service performance that have already been achieved since the creation of Openreach.

Phil Moses, previously Group Financial controller and head of investor relations is to become Openreach’s new CFO.

In order to take a unified approach to networks, systems and processes, Openreach is bringing together the Business Transformation Unit (BTU) and the CIO team to take on overall responsibility for integrating networks, systems, processes and transformation. This will form a new Service Design unit led by Andrew Jones.
