Channel Telecom, the channel-only communications provider, has kicked off an induction program for dealers and resellers on its hosted VoIP and SIP Trunking services, which are due to be fully launched at the beginning of September. This day-long initial event covered training on the key Sales, pre-Sales and Marketing aspects of the portfolio, including competitor positioning.
The session was highly successful with a high turnout and positive feedback. One delegate stated “I found the day very informative and enlightening and I am sure this is the way the market will go at last, especially with the credence BT will give to it. I have had mixed results with VoIP in the past and because of that never quite happy selling it. For me the market has needed a one company solution who can take ownership of any problems”
Clifford Norton, MD, commented “as one of the very first customers to sign up for BT’s IP Voice Services since they were launched, we’re working hard to make them available to the channel quickly, because we believe the opportunity is huge. Although it’s only just come to market, I’m convinced that IPVS has far more credibility than its longer-established competitors and will pick up a significant level of business from resellers who feel let down by those other networks. We will be running more sessions and have room for further participants.”
