Lightfoot joined Chess in 2008 as Financial Controller and was promoted to his current Financial Director post in 2010 after what Pollock described as ‘a testament to his excellent management of the day to day financial activities’. He has also been described as a ‘silent hero’ becoming one of the leading industry consolidators of recent times helping to secure Chess a £21 million acquisition facility with Barclays and being involved in over 20 mergers.
