Chess Talk for Charity

Chess Telecom, one of the UK’s leading providers of voice and data solutions, showed its Christmas spirit by donating money to charity for every customer who answered a quick satisfaction survey in December.

All of Chess’ 150 people played their part in making the Christmas phone calls with a donation made for every call completed. The thousands of customers contacted were given the option of three charities including the Prince’s Trust, East Cheshire Hospice and the MPS society.

Eleanor Wotherspoon at The Prince’s Trust commented, “Chess have been a supporter of The Princes Trust for many years. Each year Chess sponsor their people to take part in our employee fundraising initiatives which encourage staff development, such as the TEAM programme, the UK and Costa Rica Challenges and the Enterprise Project; as well as coordinating their own fundraising events from bike rides to sky diving.”

David Pollock, Chief Executive at Chess and member of the Prince’s Trust North West Development Committee, commented, “At Chess our people have a great opportunity, both to develop their careers and to play their part in supporting the community. The Prince’s Trust does a great deal to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to overcome barriers, aim higher and make a positive contribution to society. We’re proud to support them."
