Clarity Ireland, a distributors of volume IT products with a turnover of €118.6m, has been acquired from Horizon Technology Group, subject to Competition Authority approval, by major UK IT distributor, Westcoast.
Adrian Foley, Managing Director of Clarity Ireland, welcomed the move saying that it would boost the company’s product portfolio and customer service offering. Clarity’s product portfolio includes HP, O2, Toshiba and Fujitsu-Siemens brands. Westcoast is retaining the Clarity name, management team and staff in Ireland. Clarity employs about 60 people at its 41,000 sq ft headquarters in Tallaght, Dublin 24. Westcoast is headquartered in Reading and employs approximately 500 people.
