Cloud Distribution signs Agreement with Vectra Networks

IT
Cloud Distribution has signed a distribution agreement with Vectra Networks, a provider of real-time detection of in-progress cyber attacks, providing channel partners with an in-demand solution to a prominent security issue.

The speed at which threats are evolving make it almost impossible for traditional prevention security to identify attacks with signatures or reputation lists, especially when those threats are concealed in encrypted traffic. In addition, employees, contractors and customers increasingly carry infected devices past traditional prevention solutions, rendering them ineffective and exposing a company's assets is rapidly growing.

According to Forrester Research, “Many security and risk pros are not even aware when the enterprise has already suffered a breach. This is commonly caused by underinvestment in network analysis and visibility (NAV) and endpoint visibility and control (EVC) tools that can detect abnormal patterns and user behavior in their networks and IT environment.”

"Vectra's ability to continuously and actively identify abnormal network behaviour to stop an attack fill this critical gap,” said Adam Davison, Product and Marketing Director, Cloud Distribution. “Detecting targeted and insider threats is a strategic market opportunity we'll help partners address. Vectra is a perfect complementary solution for channel partners currently offering remediation technology, or who run a SOC for a customer or as a managed service.”

As distribution partner, Cloud Distribution will grow Vectra Networks’ presence in the UK and forge relationships with new partners to drive revenue growth. Partners will have access to extensive marketing support via Cloud's Altitude Marketing Services to simplify and accelerate their go to market, sales pipeline and new revenue.

Initially, Cloud plans to recruit up to seven specialised partners, to access large organisations such as FTSE500 who have significant IP and protected data, by demonstrating how Vectra can provide automated real-time insights into advanced persistent threats to help organisations stop an attack.

“Organizations are realising prevention is not enough to combat cyber attacks and they need to detect and anticipate attacks in real time. We're seeing tremendous demand in the UK for our automated threat management security solution,” said Gerard Bauer, VP EMEA for Vectra. “Cloud Distribution has a proven track record of bringing innovative technology to market and an impressive portfolio of complementary security vendors. The support, services and tools they offer will propel Vectra forward in the UK security market.”
