Free industry event on the 27th November 9.15 – 12.00 at Conference Theatre, Blue Fin Building, Bankside, London SE1

Now more than ever, the challenge for the CIO is to deliver flexible, affordable IT within a practical governance model that ensures achievement of business objectives whilst mitigating corporate risk.

In order to help organisations prepare for the challenges ahead and leverage the opportunities, the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) has brought together leading authorities for a series of insights and the latest perspectives on the key drivers of Enterprise Cloud, Desktop Virtualisation and IT value Management.

The event will take place at the Blue Fin Building on London’s Bankside where CIF will also share topical insights on their latest research demonstrating the likely impact of Cloud on both public sector and Enterprise organisations in 2013. Insight also includes an outline of the key trends and considerations CxOs should be aware of.

Andy Burton, chairman of the Cloud Industry Forum stated: “Growth of cloud adoption in recent years has developed at speed, particularly hybrid structures within business, which have reached new levels. The role of CxOs has had to develop at pace within in an evolving multi-platformed environment.

“The aim of the event is to provide an opportunity for us to share insights on what we have learned from speaking to both end users and cloud service providers via our in-depth surveys into cloud adoption, trends and attitudes going forward. Combined with looking at deployment options, migration, governance, and the impact upon software management within the cloud, there is very much a developing management structure emerging that CIO’s need to be aware of.

“What our research has revealed that in terms of the role of today’s CxOs, although key principals have remained the same, diversity of deployment models, increased distribution of IT and device proliferation have changed the scope of governance. The result being the need to clarity and transparency within this new environment is greater than ever before. With this event we aim to guide business and technology decision makers through these issues and maximise the potential for their business growth and assurance in these areas.”
