Cloud Net brings Multi-Ring Follow Me to business VoIP users

Cloud Net, the business phone systems company, has introduced its Multi-Ring Follow Me service, which rings a user’s landline and mobile phones simultaneously until the call is picked up on whichever handset a user selects. The feature also allows teams to set up incoming calls to be received on multiple users’ handsets, regardless of whether they are mobile or fixed lines.

“Unlike other many other UK VoIP providers, Cloud Net owns its own network and has a dedicated developer team, so enabling us to listen to our customers’ requirements and develop new features to improve our service offering,” said David Hill, Chairman of Cloud Net.

The new Multi-Ring feature overcomes the issues with diverting desk phones to mobiles: the call will no longer ring off on the desk phone as it does with normal follow me or call divert services; the call recipient will be confident that the incoming call is professional business call, since they will be greeted with a message informing them that “follow me call” is waiting and invited to press 1 to receive the call; small business VoIP users who may not have a separate business mobile, will no longer have to remember to turn off their diverts and finally, the service helps to combat the problems of business calls diverted to mobiles which are passing through poor signal areas, by routing the call automatically to a business landline.

Users can also set up an incoming number to ring multiple lines. For example, the Cloud Net system rings the main incoming landline and team members’ mobiles and desk phones simultaneously. The first recipient to get to the call can then answer by picking up on any one of the phones – pressing 1 to accept the call.

“We have developed this service in response to customer feedback and the launch of services such as Vodafone Sure Signal. Our Multi-Ring service requires no investment in new hardware for our existing users. For teams, the new service ensures that even in busy periods someone will answer the call, even if that person is away from the office on their mobile,” commented Charles Chance, MD of Cloud Net.

The new feature is part of Cloud Net’s all inclusive monthly business phone package. Cloud Net’s monthly packages start from £8.50 for an all inclusive switchboard including an IP phone and features such as voicemail, conference calling, voice recording, IVR and fax handling. Cloud Net VoIP handsets currently include a Cloud Net IP phone, Grand stream operator phone or a Siemens Cordless DECT phone.
