CloudApps measures sustainability of Everything Everywhere

CloudApps announced it has been selected as the sustainability partner for the UK’s biggest communication company, Everything Everywhere, as part of the company’s Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) compliance programme. CloudApps’ zero footprint cloud-based software enables the business to measure and control its energy consumption in kWh, carbon equivalent in CO2e and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), a measure of computer data centre efficiency.

Thanks to this tool, Everything Everywhere is able to effectively record important metrics for driving sustainability across the business, including a breakdown per employee of energy and carbon usage. The software ensures that the company benefits from accurate and real time reporting to key business divisions, enabling it to meet its commitments to the government through the CRC, and identify where new business energy synergies could be achieved.

Matthew Wherry, Director of Property and Workplace of Everything Everywhere, said:“The work we have embarked on with CloudApps underlines our commitment to working with the government to meet the UK’s carbon reduction targets.

The wide-ranging remit we have jointly developed with CloudApps now covers everything from our 720 Orange, T-Mobile and Everything Everywhere retail stores to the diesel in our data centre back-up generators, enabling us to reduce our carbon emissions across the whole business.”

Peter Grant, CEO of CloudApps, said: “CloudApps’ relationship with Everything Everywhere is symbolic of the type of customer opportunity that we are increasingly seeing for our business. Everything Everywhere is a complex business with strong commitments to the environment – specifically carbon management. With CloudApps on board, Everything Everywhere is best placed to really deliver value to the business while providing engaging tools to get its employees on board.
