Cobweb accredited as G-Cloud framework supplier

Cobweb Solutions today announced it has been successfully chosen to be a SaaS category supplier for the public sector through the G-Cloud framework. This will enable the Government to purchase Cobweb’s Exchange 2013 services quickly and efficiently through the CloudStore as from today.

"The G-Cloud initiative is set to transform how the Government buys ICT services. Cobweb’s approval as a supplier confirms our commitment to high standards for all clientele, no matter the size or demands, as well as the ability to deliver robust, top-end solutions in the SaaS category. G-Cloud is an essential part of our strategy to increase penetration within the public sector IT services market as government departments, local authorities and SMEs look to innovate in the delivery of their IT services," explains Julian Dyer, CTO at Cobweb Solutions.

The purpose of G-Cloud is to create a competitive marketplace where a range of service providers offer the best IT services and solutions available, from smaller SME organisations with niche solutions to large-scale deployments. The platform makes it easier for the Government and suppliers to work together to achieve the adoption of cloud computing and enable fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures ICT.

“At the Government Procurement Service our priority is to provide procurement savings for organisations across the UK public sector. The inclusion of Cobweb to the Software As A Service (SaaS) framework will strengthen our offering and provide public sector buyers with a tried and tested route to achieve value for money,” added Marie-Helene Durif, Head of Sourcing & Category Management - ICT, at the Government Procurement Service.
