Previously based between two sites in Washington and Gateshead, Simpson Group has expanded its operation into the new 70,000 sq ft shopping mall-style premises and turned to Executel for a cutting-edge communication solution to complete the move.
Representing an investment of around £20,000, the installation has provided Simpson Group with the very latest telecom technology in the form of a fully integrated Mitel 3300 Voice over IP (Internet Protocol) application.
Executel say this has enabled the delivery of voice and data over a single network, which in turn has streamlined communications for the award-winning firm and provided a future-proof telephony infrastructure for its multi-million pound site.
Graeme Wilkie, ITC director for Simpson Group, said: “The new site is our greatest ever investment and the quality of the systems needed to reflect this. Such cutting-edge technology provides many long term benefits including improved internal flexibility, effective client communications and ultimately a better service.
“The Mitel solution provides a great platform for our needs and working closely with Executel – a local provider with an excellent portfolio of clients – has allowed us a seamless transition into our new premises.”
Simpson Group specialises in the design and print of POP (point of purchase) materials for high street retailers, food retailers, brand manufacturers and a host of other industries.
