Convergence Summit reaches new heights

Day one (Tuesday 10th October) of the Convergence Summit at Sandown Park, Esher was a massive success with more visitors attending in one day than ever achieved over the 2-day duration.

With all of the major convergence players exhibiting the show had a buzz that has been missing from events for years. The visitor audience was of an extremely high standard and exhibitor stands were busy from the start of the show to the close. James Clark Head of Marketing, Westcon Commented, “The stand was very busy throughout the day with many demonstrations taking place for all of our major vendor partners including Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, Mitel and Nokia. Attending the show has met our core marketing objectives in supporting our vendor partners and driving business”.

Viren Punjani at exhibitor eyeCiTy said “The visitor audience was very focused and they knew what they wanted to see. They were serious about discussing opportunities and for us the event has been extremely productive. We felt confident that the event would deliver as the marketing has been superb in the run up to the show”.

Paul Cunningham ex VP Technology Solutions at Westcon now independent channel consultant (Monkeybridge) attended as a visitor on both days and told us “This event brings service and application partners and PBX vendors together under one roof and allows resellers to learn more about the services and revenue streams available to the in today’s competitive environment. What Comms Business has achieved here is an integrated solution in terms of a superb magazine, website and event which is what the Channel needs especially at a time when there is so much change”.

The Convergence Summit is open until 4.30pm today at Sandown Park, Esher.
