Crane Increase Focus on Mitel & Nortel

Distributor Crane has reorganised its focus on Mitel and Nortel sales with the announcement that the business unit currently handling both products is to now operate as two separate units.

Andrew Saunders, who has been responsible for Crane’s Nortel and Mitel unit for over a year, has worked with his teams to create a strong platform and position these operations for growth and success.

The recent direct contract negotiations with Nortel mean that the opportunity to accelerate the growth with this vendor is significant and will require additional focus if we are to realise the full potential of this partnership.

Saunders told Comms Business Magazine, "Establishing new start up businesses within distribution is very exciting but also extremely demanding. Having built a solid foundation for both Cranes Mitel and Nortel operations, I am delighted to now focus 100% on developing our Nortel business. The timing of the change is perfect, coinciding with the introduction of a new supply chain model working directly with Nortel"

As a result Crane has announced that Will Morey has taken charge of the new Mitel Business unit to drive the business forward and achieve the required growth.

Crane CEO David Grant commented, “It is clear from all the recent market share statistics that Mitel are being extremely successful in the IPT mid-market environ¬ment and if we are to capitalise on this growth we must provide increased focus.”
