Credant expands into mobile with FDE DriveManager security

Credant FDE DriveManager fortifies the trusted Seagate Momentus self-encrypting 2.5 inch hard drives with built-in full disk encryption. This fully automated self-encrypting disk protects organisations from data loss due to a stolen or lost computer through remote management, pre-boot strong authentication and remote destruction.

With self-encrypting drives, user passwords are not stored in the drive memory so password signatures are totally inaccessible after computer shut down, further safeguarding the data from unauthorised users.
