Daisy Nominated for Prestigious Awards

Daisy CEO Matthew Riley is looking forward to this year’s awards’ season as he prepares to do battle in the north and south at two prestigious ceremonies.

With Daisy short-listed for two awards at June’s Comms Business Awards in London, Riley is also in the final of the North Region, Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

It is the second year in succession that he has made the final of the award. And although overwhelmed to have made the shortlist he has paid tribute to colleagues and employees at daisy who have provided invaluable support.

“It’s a great personal achievement to have success recognised by an award that carries such kudos,” he said.

“But it’s important to recognise the work of wider Daisy team and thank them. Many people at the company have been here since the start and without their support, energy and commitment Daisy wouldn’t be the success it is today.”

He will find out if he has been successful at an awards ceremony and banquet on June 18th, at the Hilton, Manchester.

And less than a fortnight before that ceremony he will be leading a daisy contingent from Lancashire down to London for the Comms Business Awards ceremony.

Following the company’s success in being short-listed for one award in 2006, the company has now been short-listed for the Channel Development Campaign award, and Riley for Channel Entrepreneur of the Year.

In each category the company is competing against five of its rivals, but CEO Riley is just happy to be nominated.

“We are challenging five strong competitors in each of the awards, and the very fact that we are up there among them is testament to the ongoing success of the company,” he said.

“2006 was a big year for the company and making the shortlist for these awards is recognition of the continuing growth and success we experience at Daisy.”
