daisy on a Swiss roll after ski trip to the Alps

Channel partners of Daisy Communications said goodbye to the January blues with a trip to the Swiss Alps.

Joining 30 members of daisy staff, the 25 business partners were whisked away for a week of skiing, snowboarding and all-inclusive action in the popular resort of Engelberg.

The trip was Daisy’s way of saying “thank you” to all those that have contributed to its success over the last 12 month and followed on from a hugely popular jaunt to Morzine, in France, in 2008.

Chris Burney, Daisy’s Head of Retail Sales, said: “After a fantastic trip away last year we decided that the best reward for our partners would be an all-inclusive five day break in Switzerland.

“Very often for our partners a Daisy member of staff is just a voice on the end of the phone, but this trip enabled the two sides to come together. It just goes to show that you can mix work and pleasure and we all had a fantastic week away.”

The resort of Engelberg sits at the base of Mount Titlis, and is regarded as a skier’s paradise. All those that attended this latest Daisy trip were able to enjoy three full days of skiing, whatever their ability, with lessons provided for all. Meanwhile the troops were able to convalesce after a day on the slopes by taking advantage of the all-inclusive board at their hotel.

Terry Smith, of Cardiff-based TWL, was one such channel partner that was able to enjoy the holiday, and he felt the trip reinforced his company’s relationship with Daisy.

“TWL has always held the view that working with Daisy gives us a powerful team to win business, and what a fabulous team building event. Matthew Riley may well be praised from the business community for his entrepreneurial skills, but he should also be recognised for his ability to make everyone; dealers, resellers, partners and staff, proud to be part of the Daisy success.

“The Engelberg trip was enjoyable, as you would expect it to be; the stunning location with a perfect mix of people. Business is about relationships and people working together, and this trip was yet another Daisy success.”
