Comms-care has today announced that Ben Davies will step down from his position of Managing Director and leave the business after 16 years, with immediate effect. Mark Forster, formerly Operations Director, will replace Ben as the new Managing Director of the company.

Ben established Comms-care, alongside business partners Scott Yates and Karen Holland, in December 2002; initially in the role of Sales Director before moving to the position of Managing Director in 2011.

Darren Briscoe, Technical Director, and Peter Lloyd, Chairman, will also leave the business on the same day.

The new Comms-care leadership team will be headed up by Mark Forster, Managing Director, alongside Rob Darby, Commercial Director; Simon Day, Professional Services Director and Steve Holah, Finance Director. Both Mark and Rob have been promoted to Director level within the Ingram Micro Group and will be part of the Ingram Micro Executive Leadership Team in the UK.

With around 27 years’ service at Comms-care between them, Mark and Rob have both been heavily influential in developing the business to where it is today and the new appointments will therefore ensure continuity at the highest management level as Comms-care looks to push towards its next phase of growth, following its successful integration as an Ingram Micro Group company.

Mark Forster said “I am delighted to have this opportunity to head up the business which I have been part of for the last 13 years. The IT marketplace is as exciting and dynamic as ever at the present time and I’m looking forward to the challenge of shaping the future of Comms-care and its service portfolio to meet the demands of our customers. Comms-care remains fully committed to the channel and all the principles on which the business has so far developed and I am confident that with the support of our exceptional team, Comms-care will be an exciting and successful place to be in the years ahead. It was always planned that Ben, Darren and Peter would exit the business once the Ingram Micro acquisition had been completed successfully and I’m delighted to say they have left us in a position of real strength from which we can continue to capitalise on the tremendous opportunities within the channel.”

Matt Sanderson, Company Chief Executive, Ingram Micro UK and Ireland added “I wish Mark and Rob all the best in their new roles at Comms-care; I am in no doubt they will excel in those positions and will be instrumental in ensuring strong future growth and success for the business. Comms-care has performed exceptionally well since joining the Ingram Micro Group, continuing to develop its reputation as the leading IT services provider to the channel and as such will continue to operate as a separate entity under the Comms-care brand, whilst leveraging the synergies that being part of the wider group affords.”
