The announcement was made at the national finals and award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 1 October.
Science and Technology is one of just eight categories in the Ernst & Young award programme. Competing against 40 of the country’s top talent, Edward Belgeonne received the award in recognition of his ‘strong leadership skills’, ‘determination’ and ‘the financial achievements of the company.’
Edward said: “This is a real tribute to the passion and commitment of the great people who work with me at Destiny, and also to our customers and partners. It’s a huge honour to be recognised and selected for such a major award.”
Nick Powell, Ernst & Young’s entrepreneurial specialist said: “Edward Belgeonne is thoroughly deserving of the Entrepreneur Of The Year title as he has demonstrated real determination, innovation, and the courage to take risks.”
