Doors open to the largest Summit South ever

Day one of The Summit South proved to be as busy as pre-registration numbers had indicated, with queues of cars filling the car park and our registration staff being run off their feet as soon as the doors were opened.

This year’s event at Sandown marks a milestone, the tenth birthday for what started as a niche event in the Hilton Hotel Coventry and now stands as the ONLY expo serving the voice, data and mobile channels.

Paul Johnson, show director, said of the event’s success: “Each year the Summit brings something new to the market, whether that be new companies, products or technologies, and this year is no different. Convergence players from all sectors of the market want to meet their existing partners face to face and meet new potential partners in a friendly and buzzing environment, and that is exactly what this event provides.”

Continuing, Johnson added: “This year the market has definitely picked up and the number of new enquiries we have had from companies wishing to exhibit has been unprecedented. The data players have warmed to our event and we are starting to attract a more data centric audience, which can only mean one thing; convergence really is happening.”

Concluding, Johnson stated: “Day two is equally as good as the first day here at Sandown Park, although I am equally sure there are some sore heads following our Oktoberfest evening of entertainment.”
