DTP Creates Managed Wireless Service with Chargifi

M2M & IoT
DTP Group and Chargifi, the foundational technology for scaling wireless power, today announce a partnership to provide DTP’s clients with a managed service for a wireless power solution.

The partnership means that Chargifi’s technology, that allows users to wirelessly charge their mobile phones, will be available to DTP’s clients, within a managed service that includes solution design, infrastructure, software and implementation and proactive management and maintenance.

Chargifi, named in the Top 50 Digital Innovators Power List, delivers a cloud management platform that manages, monitors and monetises power. Charigifi is already installed at some of the world’s largest sporting venues, workspaces and hotels. Wireless charging is a fast-growing sector – created by consumer expectation – and is said to be worth $37.2 billion globally by 2022, according to the 2017 Wireless Charging Market Report.

Chargifi’s patent-protected technology encompasses software that makes wireless charging transmitters “smart”, enabling DTP to monitor usage and performance, and provide customers with insightful reports and information about their wireless charging spots. The technology also allows clients to personalise usage dependent upon the download of a client’s own app, making the solution appealing to those in the retail and hospitality sectors who are increasingly adopting mobile engagement and location-based technologies, to enhance the user experience.

DTP Founder and Managing Director, Howard Hall, commented: “We are delighted to be able to partner with Chargifi in building and providing a wireless power solution to our clients. We see this as just the start of our partnership, as wireless charging is rapidly becoming the standard for laptop and tablet device charging, as well as mobile phones. The Chargifi solution is a perfect fit across a number of sectors we already operate within, such as universities, hotels and hospitality.”

Chargifi CEO and Founder Dan Bladen commented: “We are excited to partner with DTP Group, a market-leading managed service provider in the education technology and corporate campus space, to take Chargifi out to its customers and deliver convenient wireless power at scale.

“More and more we are seeing consumer demand driving innovation and the need for a wireless world. This partnership will enable DTP to meet this demand and offer a multi-dimensional solution - wireless power for the end user, and for the client, valuable insight into consumer behaviour and engagement.
