Engineer on a Bike

A PSU telecoms engineer will be getting on his bike in aid of a good cause.

Steve Wilson, who is based at the company’s Camberley office, will be cycling over 40 miles in Hampshire’s New Forest to raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The 32 year old, who has worked for the IT & Telecoms provider for 5 years, has four previous events under his belt, but was moved to undertake his latest challenge after losing a close relative to the disease last year.

Steve said; “I’ve taken part in sponsored rides before, but never really had a reason for doing them other than the challenge and good karma. Having lost my uncle to cancer last year, I have an urge to do something in his name.”

Steve’s ride will take in both the 12 and 30-mile main routes around the New Forest, which he is aiming to complete in less than 4 hours.

Michael Lounton, PSU’s Managing Director, said: “The team’s behind Steve all the way and he’s an inspiration to us all. We’ll be wishing him well from the comfort of our local!”
