Entagroup Raises Over £2000 In Charity Dragon Boat Race

The Entagroup sister companies, Entanet and Enta Technologies, battled it out last weekend in the sun-soaked 2011 Dragon Boat Race, organised by and in aid of local charity Severn Hospice.

The event, held on a stretch of the River Severn at the Pengwern Boat Club in Shrewsbury, saw the fiercely competitive teams race against each other, many other teams and the current! Race 15 brought them together and each with 16 rowers and a lead drummer, they powered neck and neck towards a photo finish, before Enta Technologies clinched the victory by less than half a second.

Commenting on the event, Entagroup’s founder Jason Tsai said: “The Dragon Boat Race was a fantastic event for a very worthy local charity. Not only has it helped to raise much needed funds, it has also provided the participating companies with a fun-packed day that encourages team-work and friendly competitiveness. We are looking forward to participating again next year.”

The Severn Hospice was established in 1989 and provides invaluable care for sufferers of long-term and incurable illnesses and support for their families. The charity relies heavily on public fundraising and the Dragon Boat Race is just one of the many events it organises each year. A combined total of over £2000 was raised by Entagroup, with donations still being received via their respective Just Giving web pages.
