Entanet adds BE Wholesale to its strategic focus

Entanet, the wholesale voice and data communications provider, has announced a new strategic relationship with LLU provider BE Wholesale, initially for ADSL2+ broadband connections alongside its existing and extensive portfolio of BT-based services.

Entanet has been conducting ordering and provisioning trials with BE and expects to make the services available to its reseller partners imminently. The Company says the relationship will enable partners to offer an even greater diversity of broadband products to meet increasing customer demand for choice. Entanet says their BE Wholesale-based products are particularly attractive to those wholesale and resale customers seeking a reliable, keenly priced and uncapped broadband allowance at ADSL2+ speeds.

Commenting on the announcement, Entanet’s General Manager Elsa Chen said: “For a wholesale service provider like Entanet, that’s invested significantly in its UK infrastructure and introduced competitive BT-based connectivity products over the past few years, this step reflects a long-term strategic fit between the two businesses rather than a simple supplier aggregation relationship that we see everywhere in the market.

Entanet’s leading position in technology development continues to drive us to seek opportunities to provide innovative products to the channel. Both companies will be working together proactively, not only to increase share in the UK broadband market but also to introduce new communications products to partners’ benefit.”

Entanet’s BE Wholesale-based products will enable Entanet partners to offer connectivity from a network known for its low latency and high throughput, supporting time dependent and bandwidth hungry applications such as VoIP, video conferencing and cloud based solutions. The products offer download speeds up to 24Mbps, Annex-M across the entire network and are unhindered by bandwidth restrictions.

Supporting the announcement, Head of BE Wholesale Dan Cunliffe said: “We’re delighted to be working with Entanet and supporting its strong channel base. Our product portfolio more than meets the needs of Entanet partners and we’re confident that the quality and reliability of our services and infrastructure will help strengthen their competitiveness. At the same time, Entanet’s forward thinking approach to product development and expertise in channel support can only help to strengthen our own position in the market.”
