Excel Takes the No. 3 Position in the UK

Excel Networking Solutions, the copper and optical cabling infrastructure provider, has risen to third place in the UK copper structured cabling market, as reported in the BSRIA 2011 UK Market Report.

According to BSRIAs annual independent Structured Cabling report Excel’s market share for copper cabling systems increased from 8.6% in 2009 to 11.2% in 2010, placing it 3rd in the overall market, with a revenue growth in the 12 month period in excess of 35%. In addition, in the statistics shown for cable sales, Excel recorded 1st place with 17.90% of the market, up from 14.10% the previous year.

Mark Simmons, Sales Director, says, “We are delighted with the results. The BSRIA report provides us with a good measure of the size of the market and where Excel fits within it, so it’s very positive news. This comes hot on the heels of the recent Network Computing ‘Cabling Supplier of the Year’ award, which was awarded to Excel in April, beating the likes of Brand-Rex, ADC Krone, Nexans and Siemon.”

Excel has seen a very positive year all round, having introduced many new products and having launched an all-encompassing Encyclopaedia, which has become a strong reference tool for Excel customers. “We have enjoyed a successful year, but will not get complacent. Our offering will keep getting stronger and we encourage all those not aware of what we have to offer to get in touch with us for details and to find out for themselves just why we are seeing this growing success.”’

Reflecting upon the company’s customer-centric approach, Simmons concludes, “An announcement of this type would not be possible without the on-going support of our customers and the dedication of our team. It is greatly appreciated, thank you.”
