Executel Strengthens its Workforce

Voice and data specialist Executel Ltd has recruited a further five members of staff, taking head count to 47 at its Tyneside headquarters.

Following the recent launch of Executel’s new mobile communications division, the Gateshead-based company has appointed Jamie Daniels, Marc Campbell and Aaron McCormack as mobile sales account managers while Shaun Richardson and Sam Faruqi have joined the team as trainee sales executives.

Jamie, Marc and Aaron all come from a sales background and have therefore been employed by Executel to help actively generate new business and drive forward mobile sales. Meanwhile, Shaun and Sam will attend the company’s in-house Sales Academy and assist the existing sales team with analysing the marketplace and identifying new business opportunities.

Having previously worked for Leeds-based Wish Communications, Jamie, 29 from Burnopfield brings to Executel a wealth of sales experience and mobile solutions knowledge along with Marc, 25 from Hebburn who comes from BT Local Business in Newcastle where he fulfilled the position of Mobile & ICT Specialist.

Of his new appointment, Jamie said: “I am extremely excited about joining such a forward thinking and customer focused business and I look forward to an enjoyable and long term career with the company.”

Marc added: “Executel is an innovative company with a fantastic reputation in the region and a unique portfolio of products and services. It’s great to be joining the company at such a busy and exciting time and I’m relishing the challenge of helping the company move forward with a complete unified solution offering.”

Aaron McCormack, 35 from Newcastle, who worked as a key account manager for Levi Strauss in Dublin prior to his appointment with Executel also joins the team as a mobile sales account manager, taking responsibility for the company’s new mobile communications portfolio.

Commenting on his role, he said: “I am delighted to have been selected to be part of the Executel team at this important stage in its development. I was committed to finding the best possible position during my job search and believe that has come from Executel. The future looks to be both challenging and rewarding but with the people that work here, it certainly looks set to be a great place to be.”

Meanwhile, Shaun Richardson and Sam Faruqi have joined Executel as trainee sales executives. Shaun, 24 from Sunderland previously worked for Neopost as a field sales executive and of his new role with Executel said: “It’s a real pleasure to be working for such a prosperous, forward-moving and innovative company which provides an extremely well structured support and training programme for its employees.”

Sam, 27 from Whitley Bay who comes from Phones 4U where he worked as a sales advisor, added: “I am delighted to be joining a local company that is at the forefront of business communications and believe that Executel will give me the platform and resources needed to succeed in the field of sales.”
