Chairman Julian Niman chose the winner from the 200-strong workforce during a special ceremony at the company’s Manchester headquarters. He also rewarded four category winners with £500 and crystal awards whilst a further eight nominees enjoyed £100 in vouchers.
“The staff are our biggest asset and it’s important to recognise the skill and dedication which runs throughout the company to maintain our position as the country’s number one telecoms distributor,” Julian explained. “There’s a great team spirit here, a mix of experience, enthusiasm and a passion for excellence across all levels of the business.”
As for the winner Andy, who is also responsible for Returns and Tech Support, he couldn’t believe his success. “I am absolutely gobsmacked. I never thought for one minute that it would be my name read out at the end,” he revealed. “I love working here, particularly with Julian. Everyday is a new challenge, solving problems to ensure the building runs smoothly so that everyone is happy.” Andy, who is a qualified engineer, is hoping to visit Prague as part of his prize.
