Five deals in eight weeks at Fone Logistics

Mobile airtime and handset distributor, Fone Logistics, has managed to strike its fifth deal in just eight weeks.

So far this year, Fone Logistics has secured several distribution deals with the likes of Vodafone and Virgin Media.

Now it has announced a supply agreement deal with Asus as a reseller partner, to deliver its new range of notebooks and Eee family products. One such product is the Eee Top, a one-stop desktop that puts the internet at the users’ fingertips.

The range features the innovative Asus Eee Top touch screen PC, which allows you to do everything you can do with a regular desktop by simply applying direct pressure on the screen with your fingertips. As well as the fast selling EeePC series of web books, notebooks and a series of Lamborghini-branded laptops.

Fone Logistics will supply the range to its dealers and incentivise it to the end user with wraparound bundle deals on the 3 network such as mobile broadband and 3 mobile minutes.

Fone Logistics marketing and sales director, Julien Parven, said: “The deal with Asus allows us to extend our opportunities and grow our portfolio within the cellular and IT reseller market; it is an ideal fit for us.

“What makes this product range so attractive to us as a distributor is that the products are so feature rich and functional yet low in price and this therefore gives more value to our dealers. They also look attractive but don’t have the same high price tag as the more established brands. During the current recession, worldwide sales have been more or less driven by these low cost yet fully functional products, offering innovative services at competitive price,” he added.

The Eee Top may have the tiny footprint of a slim LCD monitor, but it is massive in terms of its features. It works like any standard tablet PC and can also be wall mounted, meaning the end user can use it more effectively for watching DVDs or computer games. It also features WiFi 802.11n connectivity for speedy and reliable internet access, and an integrated 1.3 megapixel web camera and microphone for convenient web conferencing.

This is the fifth contract that Fone Logistics has secured in the last two months alone. Last month it announced a deal with business telecom specialist Qualitel to be its sole distributor of O2 products. In January it secured a deal with Vodafone to deliver its fixed line products as well as an exclusive contract with Virgin Media to distribute its range of home broadband, telephone and TV bundles.

Fone Logistics has also recently struck a deal to distribute the new Samsung B2700 handset on network 3 to the construction market, with a subsequent tie-in with B&Q.
