On September 25th the GCI Channel Solutions team descended upon Hotel Xenia in London for GCIs first ever sales conference.

Headed by Ross Cooper, founding Director of CommsXchange and Sales Director of New Business at GCI, the events purpose was to motivate and supercharge GCIs sales teams in preparation to hit their strategic goals in 2016.

Cooper commented, ‘We have plans to be a serious force in the Comms and ICT sector delivering small to high end enterprise solutions with unrivalled levels of support, consultancy and service. It’s a straightforward formula for us and everyone within the business is focused on delivering results.’

The event also highlighted and rewarded successes and sales excellence within the teams. Channel Development Manager Mark Frost was highly recognised for overachieving on his sales targets and generating most revenue in the sales team during 2015. Director of Channel Sales, Mark Whitehead, also accepted a special achievement award as recognition of his hard work in introducing and building GCI Channel Solutions.

Whitehead commented, ‘Our sales conference was a fantastic event, highlighting the fact we have a great team of very talented people who are all committed to delivering market leading products and services to our clients. One strategic goal helps us leverage all GCIs services to the benefit of our reseller community.’

As well as speaker sessions from guest suppliers, the team were introduced to former Royal Marines Commando Major Philip James Conyers Ashby QGM. Notable for his escape and evasion in the jungles of Sierra Leone in 2000, Major Ashby motivated the teams and demonstrated how teamwork and determination are key to working to achieve any goal.
