Manchester-based distributor Gen-x IT has announced the appointment of two new members to its growing team.
Matt Davies joins the company from Bigred Solutions Ltd where he was sales manager and worked on setting up their distribution channel. Before that he was the Industrial Sales Manager at Enta Technologies Ltd, working on setting up their server, storage and networking division as well as winning franchises with Hitachi, Intel, Super Micro and others. He brings with him a wealth of experience having worked in IT distribution for almost 16 years.
Another addition to the sales team at Gen-X is Malcolm James, who joins the company following three years as UK sales manager at MRV Communications, the US based Vendor for which Gen-X hold Official Distributor status. Before that, he spent six years with Allied Telesis culminating with his appointment as UK Sales Manager with Corega International. Both will be working as business development managers for Gen-X, helping the company further develop its rapidly growing distribution division.
