Genesis Communications rebrands as Outsourcery

Genesis Communications has unveiled a bold market repositioning strategy that will see it acquire more specialist providers and rebrand to Outsourcery, in a bid to strengthen its position as a key Microsoft partner and become the UK’s number one provider of hosted software as a service (SaaS).

Microsoft has applauded the move, which firmly repositions the company as a unified communications provider. The software giant has previously stated its dedication to grow its customer base via its nationwide partners and the rebrand is designed to support the delivery of Microsoft’s software and services model in this way.

Outsourcery will aim to spearhead the development of the UK SaaS market and hopes to broaden its unified communications portfolio through an aggressive growth strategy, which has already seen the acquisition of hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM services provider, Increase CRM, plus the business and assets of THUS Mobile, earlier this year.

The company is already heading the market with its latest hosted packages. Its current position marks a change in direction for the company since its MBO from DSGi in 2007, with the past two years seeing the launch of a suite of new products and a rapid diversification from its former business mobile model.

Piers Linney, director of Outsourcery, commented: “Genesis has been focused on providing the leading suite of mobile and hosted IT solutions for small and medium sized enterprises in the UK for some time. Thanks to our new hosted packages, we can’t be beaten on price and our product range offering is second to none. The rebrand to Outsourcery is about representing this through our brand and showing that we’re serious about our goal of offering one of the world’s leading UC product sets.

“Acquisition of customer bases will be an important part of achieving that goal and we’re particularly keen to add professional services capabilities in SharePoint and hosted voice to our portfolio,” he added. “Ultimately, we believe that companies of all sizes should be able to benefit from the latest hosted SaaS technology. Through our work with our reseller partners and direct with customers, we aim to ensure that they get it.”

Martin Walker, software services, UK lead at Microsoft UK commented: “Outsourcery is a Microsoft Gold Partner with eight Microsoft competencies and a proven history of supporting the development of the software and services market. The rebrand proves the company’s commitment to this marketplace, in line with our own. Microsoft is working closely with its partners to take software and services solutions to market and we applaud Outsourcery’s dedication to making these products accessible to as many resellers and businesses as possible.”
